On October, 1-2 a granulation seminar was held for the first time in our freshly renovated office in Montgomeryville (PA). Over two days, the 50 participants were offered exciting and highly interesting lectures as well as practical demonstrations on the different granulation techniques.
We are pleased of being invited by our research partner Prof. Calvin Sun of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, to attend the planning meeting of the National Research Foundation’s (NSF) New Research Center CIMSEPP (Center for Integrated Materials Science and Engineering for Pharmaceutical Products) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on September 24th and 25th.
From August, 5th throughout August, 8th the “Blending & Segregation Forum 2019” will be held at the University of Purdue. Organized this year by our research partner, the Center for Particulate Products and Processes (CP3) at the University of Purdue in West Lafayette (IN, USA). Alexanderwerk will actively support the forum and of course also be represented locally.

The program for the “hands-on” course at the University of Sheffield is in place and Alexanderwerk will, as in previous years, actively participate.
Mr. Manfred Felder will represent the Alexanderwerk in Sheffield. Mr. Felder (authorized signatory and manager of process engineering) will introduce the practical knowledge of how to operate and handle a roller compactor as well as the details and theory of dry granulation to the numerous international participants.
After Alexanderwerk had already awarded the poster prize for the best posters in “Dry Granulation” in 2017, it was obvious that this would also happen at the 9th Granulation Conference in Lausanne. Of the total of 125 posters, 49 posters had registered for the prize.
